WhatsPrep is run by Explico Pte Ltd in Singapore. We help parents send Maths practice to their child over WhatsApp. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have kept it short on purpose, because we keep the data we collect short on purpose too.
To run the service, we store the following when you register a child: your WhatsApp phone number, your child's first name, their primary level, and their gender. As your child practises, we also store their practice results so we can pitch questions at the right level and show you their progress.
If you use our contact form or newsletter, we store the details you type in: your name, email address, and message. If you message us on WhatsApp, we can see the messages you send us, like any WhatsApp chat.
We do not ask for and do not want your child's full name, birth date, school, address, photos, or any contact details of their own. Practice happens through your number, not theirs.
We use this information to do exactly one job: generate practice matched to your child's level and topic choice, send you the link on WhatsApp, and mark the answers. We also look at overall usage in aggregate to improve the question bank.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We will not send you marketing messages on WhatsApp beyond the practice you ask for, unless you have told us you want them, and you can say stop at any time.
Like most online services, we rely on a small number of service providers to operate: WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages between us, our hosting provider stores our website and records, our email provider delivers notification and newsletter emails, and automated systems help generate and mark practice questions. Each provider receives only what it needs to do its part.
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which sets cookies in your browser. This tells us things like which pages are popular. It does not tell us who you are. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
We keep your child's profile and practice history while you are using the service, so their practice stays at the right level. If you stop using WhatsPrep and ask us to delete your data, we will remove your number, your child's profile, and their practice history from our records.
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you can ask us at any time to show you the personal data we hold about you and your child, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw consent for us to contact you. To do any of these, message us on WhatsApp or email ayushi@whatsprep.com and we will act on it promptly.
WhatsPrep is a service for parents. Accounts belong to parents, all information about a child is provided by their parent, and all communication happens through the parent's WhatsApp number. If we ever discover we hold information about a child that was not provided by a parent or guardian, we will delete it.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we will tell you on WhatsApp before they take effect.
Ask us anything about your data at ayushi@whatsprep.com or on WhatsApp at +65 8182 3031.
